What is Hyaluronic Acid and How to Use It

Hyaluronic Acid (HA) is a powerful hydrating ingredient.  HA can hold 1000 times its weight in water, making it a hydration powerhouse.  Adding HA to your skincare routine will help plump your skin and reduce the appearance of fine lines. HA deeply hydrates your skin leaving your skin feeling soft and hydrated and looking refreshed.

HA deeply draws water into your skin.  This is why using it with the Hydrating Mist is key!  First, spray your skin with the Hydrating Mist.  The mist is made with hydrosols.  Hydrosols are the water that is created during the making of essential oils.  Hydrosols have the benefits of the essential oils, but in water form.  Our Hydrating Mists also have other beautiful ingredients like cucumber extract, green tea extract, and aloe to truly calm and soothe the skin.  We want to add both MOISTURE (water) and fat (oils/butters/tallow) to our skin, because our skin is made of both water and fat. We always add the water first, lightest product to heaviest product, always sealing in moisture with a fat.

The proper order for using these products would be to first wash and pat dry.  Then, spray with Hydrating Mist.  While the face is still damp, apply 1-2 drops of Hyaluronic Acid.  Then, seal that moisture in with Lux Oil or Tallow Balm.

Hydrating Mist to give the skin water with benefits.  Hyaluronic Acid to draw that moisture deep into the skin.  Lux Oil or Tallow Balm to seal it in so it doesn't evaporate.
